The Weeknd is known for RnB music often focused on either heartbreak or coping with it through various drugs. For this reason, I made the design of the album with a psychedelic feel. Accompanying the singles released off of this album which featured heavy neon lights, I designed this album cover with that “Vaporwave” aesthetic in mind to follow the brand image.
